Marla Smith runs Go Home and Practice LLC, a private violin/viola studio out of her home. She is co-founder of The Cassini Ensemble and heads the chamber music section of the Blue Lake Suzuki Family Camp. You will see her judging Solo and Ensemble festivals and leading sectionals at area high schools. She performs at the Baroque on Beaver festival on Beaver Island. Marla is the 2018 MASTA studio teacher of the year.
Constance Markwick is a busy chamber musician and freelancer both on violin and viola. She appears on numerous chamber music concerts in the area and performs with the Traverse and Flint Symphonies, as well as the Michigan Opera Theatre. In the summer, she participates in the Baroque on Beaver festival on Beaver Island. She teaches violin and viola privately and leads sectionals at area high schools.
Nyssa Rabinowitz teaches violin and viola at her own studio in Birmingham and is a chamber music and sectional coach with the Oakland Youth Orchestras. She also teaches K-3 violin at Detroit Country Day School and is a certified teacher in Suzuki books 1 through 4. Nyssa performs with several groups in the area and is an alumni of ACM!.
